The archaeological site

The Villa a Protiro takes its name from its characteristic small portico, with two columns and a small tympanum that framed the entrance door.

This is a luxurious villa that was originally nestled between the sea and the Lacus Baianus, in contact with the canal that connected them . This monumental complex is composed of a street dotted with taverns and a private villa. The rooms of the villa overlook a central atrium, which serves as a point of distribution of natural light. During the exploration, you will have the opportunity to admire these rooms and discover the architectural details of a bygone era.

One of the highlights of this dive are the beautiful mosaics, made up of black and white tiles, which create fascinating patterns that tell of the artistic mastery of ancient times .
