We invite you to a fascinating journey through time, immersing yourself in the history of the Villa dei Pisoni in Baia, one of the most intriguing structures of the submerged city. Get ready to explore this submerged archaeological wonder.


The reservation for one of the dives at one of the sites of the Baia underwater park is part of a dive package (9 points of interest), but it is important to keep in mind that it can be subject to changes depending on the weather conditions and the availability of the park. The archaeological site


The Terme del Lacus is, at the moment, the last site open to the public of the Submerged Archaeological Park of Baia. It is a thermal complex built inside a large domus, rich in marble and tessellated floors.


On the site there are several polychrome mosaics, some of these discovered in 2020 and others in 2023, some of the most recent archaeological finds; these are adorned with different geometric designs made with pink, red, green, gray tiles, which characterized the floors of the main rooms of the baths, its tubs for hot baths and above all the apse rooms that must have been opened with large windows towards the Lacus Baianus.


But not only that: in the Terme del Lacus it is possible to understand how the effects of bradyseism were already beginning to be seen in Roman times. Large columns were in fact positioned, horizontally, along the edge of the Lacus to protect the rooms of this domus and prevent the entry of water. In the same way, the internal floors were raised, which in fact are superimposed on multiple levels.


The phenomenon did not stop, and everything was submerged: today these remains are found at a depth of four meters, where human life has stopped and many objects have been abandoned by men, simultaneously transforming into a residence for marine flora and fauna.
